I just published my first book.
I am trying to write a novel. I am also trying to lose weight and not be an evil bitch. I am experiencing no success with any of this.
I’m also trying to stamp out the usage of the word “irregardless,” and I’m finding no success there, either.
Just about everything this guy draws strikes a chord with me. Probably because we draw from the same references and inspirations (Douglas Adams, Monty Python, etc.) – he as an artist and I as a writer. But his recent strips about the torture of carrying a pager resonated with me because if it hadn’t been for my own hatred of the midnight beep, I’d never have quit that particular job and gotten a bit closer to writing as a full-time profession.
